STUDENT PICK UP AND DROP OFF AREAS:
Parents, we want your children to be safe. Please do not send them to school before 9:00 am. If your child is a breakfast eater, he or she may enter the breakfast room through the south door (in front of the school building) at 8:50 am; otherwise, your student should not be on campus until after 9:00 when our doors officially open and supervision is available.
IN THE AFTERNOON: After school, your child should be picked up in the
student loading area located in front of the school (south side).
We have supervision in front where parents may remain in their car.
Please drive all the way forward, just past the flagpole. This allows
several cars to wait behind you and expedites the student pick up process.
IN THE BUS AREA: Some children are walking between busses and cars
in order to get to their waiting parent. Unless your student is riding the bus,
he or she should be picked up at the south side (the front) of the building.
Help us help your child understand that he or she must wait for you in
front where supervisors can assist with student crossings!
CELL PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES:
Unless the device is provided by the school for learning purposes, students are not allowed to bring any electronic devices to school such as toys, games and cell phones. We have had instances where such devices have become lost or have created disruptions and distractions to the learning environment.
If your child must bring a cell phone to school, please have him/her drop it off in the office for safekeeping until the end of the day. You may contact the school at (503) 399-3138 if you wish to send a message to your child. Should a student be caught with a device in his/her possession, it shall be taken away until arrangements can be made for you to pick it up.
